KERALA PUBLIC SCHOOL - MANGO
Kerala Public School, Mango is one of the nine schools managed by the Kerala Public Schools Trust and is situated in Mango , Jamshedpur. Spread over two acres of land the school currently has a strength of 2993 students and 122 staff on its payroll. Established in 1995, this was the first school set up by KPS Trust with the purpose of providing “Quality Education of an Affordable Cost”.
The Trust has always believed that education leads to social transformation. Mango, being a comparatively backward area, seemed the right place to fulfill this purpose.
We believe in the Core Values of TOUCH: Trust, Openness, Unconditional love & Acceptance, Compassion and Humility.
Today education is without borders and our school believes in holistic development of the students. Where physical, intellectual and emotional needs of students are taken care of. We take utmost care in identifying & nurturing latent talent in every child and imbibe in them the spirit of compassion and social responsibilities. For inculcating social responsibilities we have a vibrant Eco Club, Safe Club, Jyoti Club and Interact Club, Free Afternoon Hindi Medium schools for slum children, Annual Blood Donation Camp. Old Cloths, toys & Medicine and eatable are collected and distributed to the Orphanages, Old Age Home and Leprosy Colony.
On Monday’s staff wear Khadi Dresses to promote cottage industries. Disha is a forum for educators where teachers exchange their ideas & views for the development and growth of the school. Now our focus is on NEP policy.
Due to Pandemic the transition from offline mode of learning to online was undertaken by the teachers with vigour and vitality where new mode of teaching-learning was adopted and adapted so that no child was left behind with education being continual and ongoing process.
